The Ulti Clip is designed for both setups. It should always be clipped directly to the waistband:

• Without a belt – Clip it to your waistband and tighten any drawstring if needed for extra support.
• With a belt – Clip it to the waistband behind the belt, then thread the belt over the holster for a secure fit.

This setup ensures a consistent, secure carry whether you're wearing a belt or not.

The Ulti Clip works with any Breakout 2.0 holster from Houdini Holsters, making it compatible with over 300 firearm models. It’s available for both left- and right-hand draw, which you can select using the gun make and model dropdown at the top of the page.

What’s the recommended use for beltless carry?

For sweats and gym shorts, the material must be supportive enough to hold the weight of the firearm. We recommend tightening the waistband to ensure the holster stays secure and doesn’t shift.

For beltless jeans, the material should keep the firearm tight to your body without sagging. The clip secures the holster, but the waistband must support the weight.

For yoga pants: While the clip will attach, most yoga pants may not fully support the weight of a firearm. For this reason, we do not recommend or endorse carrying in yoga pants.

The clip clamps securely to the waistband, ensuring a firm grip that won’t shift during movement. Once attached, it stays locked in place, providing a consistent and reliable draw every time. Whether you're carrying with gym shorts, jeans, or other beltless options, the clip’s strong hold prevents slipping, keeping your holster exactly where you need it.

No, the clip is designed to grip securely without damaging fabric. It clamps tightly without sharp edges that could cause tearing, making it safe for everyday wear.

The Breakout 2.0 holster is designed to be versatile, offering compatibility with various carry positions.

You can wear it anywhere ranging from the 10 o'clock position (opposite side Appendix carry) all the way to the 5 o'clock position, just before the center of your back.

This ensures flexibility and comfort to accommodate different carrying preferences.

However, please note that the Breakout draw performs best in the appendix carry position.

The Breakout 2.0 will fit up to a 1.5-inch gun belt.

(A 1.5 inch gun belt is recommended for best use)

The Breakout 2.0 is currently available in only non-light-bearing options.

Yes, it is compatible with red dots, night sights, and top-mounted optics.

The Breakout 2.0 currently only works with flush-fitting barrels.

The Breakout 2.0 currently does not work with gas-pedal attachments.

At the moment, the Breakout 2.0 is exclusively offered in Flat Black.

The retention on the Breakout 2.0 will change very little over a long period of time, meaning if you select a medium draw, it will maintain that level of retention for many years to come.
