In 2015, Cheryl moved with her two young boys to the West Side of Chicago during a family emergency. She felt the danger around her and started carrying.
But carrying came with a problem of its own. Bulky holsters printed, made the grip ride up, and made carrying with lighter clothes impossible. She had to stick to baggy clothes and constantly pull her shirt down instead of being present at work or outside. Not once or twice a day, but every few minutes.
She wasn't going to stop carrying. So she started building.
