I Was Falsely Accused And Sentenced To 2 Years In Federal Prison Because An “Anti-Gun” Karen Noticed My Firearm
A licensed carrier spent six years convinced a little “printing” was harmless. Then a convenience-store robbery, a home break-in, and a 2-year prison sentence proved him wrong. Here is what finally fixed it.
News broadcast covered the robbery where a father was shot.
I’m a proud gun owner who never gave a damn if people noticed I was carrying.
I live in a state where open carry is illegal, but I also spend over half my time in Texas, where people put a gun on their hip like it’s the norm. So I know both worlds.
I’ve been carrying since the day I got my license in March of 2019.
But after almost getting killed and ending up in jail, I became hyper-aware of my gun showing through my clothes.
And this can happen to anybody, even if you’re doing everything right.
Here are 3 reasons why your concealed gun bulging through your shirt will ruin your life.
1. You become the first target.
It was a regular 4 pm on a Tuesday when I went to pick up my kids.
On the way back, we stopped at a convenience store with my kids to grab a few things.
About a minute after we walked into the store, a group of masked guys in hoodies came in.
One of them shot me in the arm, ripped my gun off me, took my wallet and car keys, while the other three cleaned out the counter before they all ran off.
It all happened in a split second. I didn’t understand what had happened.
I was taken to the hospital and got 14 stitches in my arm.
It happened in seconds. She never saw it coming.
Later, my wife got to know from the police that those guys were already planning to rob the store.
“But outside, when I bent down to tie my kid’s shoelace, my shirt lifted and flashed my gun to them.”
The second they saw I was armed, I became the threat they wanted gone first. So the moment they rushed in, they shot me.
I wasn’t even aware of that, but it almost cost my life.
2. It makes criminals follow you home.
This is an incident when my range buddy, Gary, unintentionally lured thieves into his house.
They stole a shotgun, a Glock 17 with ammunition, took some other valuables, and put a bullet in his dog.
The police explained what happened when they finally caught the burglars.
Before they decided to break into Gary’s house, they saw the outline of his firearm through his shirt when he was loading up groceries in the parking lot.
That made them follow him all the way to his house. They waited for the right moment.
As they saw Gary leave to pick up his kids, they had the perfect chance to break in.
So they did.
“It’s just a little printing, don’t worry about it.”
— What Gary used to tell meNow he had almost put his wife’s life at risk; she usually stays home, but thankfully, that day she went to the mall to shop for an anniversary present.
Very close call.
The next incident is going to be very silly, but it will show you how crazy people actually are.
3. You could end up in jail — even carrying legally.
As you know, there will always be anti-gun snowflakes who completely lose their mind the second they see a gun.
And one of them got me sentenced to 2 years in prison.
It happened on a Saturday afternoon when I took my kid out for ice cream. While we were standing in line, a middle-aged woman with oversized glasses noticed my gun printing through my shirt.
I didn’t think much of it at the time.
But as we were walking out, she suddenly blasted pepper spray straight into my eyes out of nowhere.
The next thing I hear is this woman screaming at the top of her lungs that I threatened her with my gun.
People started panicking. My kid was crying. I could barely see.
And when the police showed up, I was the armed man standing there half-blind while this hysterical woman was pointing at me, screaming that I tried to attack her.
“I was just a heartbeat away from having my entire life destroyed”
Between the thousands of dollars of lawyer fees, court costs, and months of hell, that mistake nearly buried me financially and legally.
And I could’ve ended up sitting in a prison cell for years.
But even though I went through all this, it didn’t stop me from carrying on.
I love guns, I love exercising my rights.
And most of all, I refuse to be the sucker begging for his life when shit goes down.
So I needed to find a better way to carry.
At first, I started carrying in bigger and thicker clothes, which concealed well, but my drawers felt way too flimsy.
I had to dig through layers of clothes, fight my thick shirt, then pull it all the way out… and in a real situation, that delay would get me killed.
On top of that, I hated wearing those clothes.
For context, I’m slightly on the bigger side, 5’10 190 lbs to be precise.
And wearing these heavy clothes with layers was downright uncomfortable. They’d have me sweat like hell.
So I downized my gun to Bodyguard 2.0.
Yet still the grip would stick out.
Now, changing my carry position from appendix never even crossed my mind.
Because carrying strong side or at 6 o’clock might as well be the same as putting a gun on a red velvet pillow and presenting it to the nearest crackhead.
And if I rewind, carrying on my hip is the exact reason those guys at the convince store spotted my gun. And as soon as they walked it, they almost killed me.
So no sir, I’m never putting my gun behind me.
Also, it can be easily stolen, and you can do nothing about it, as you can see below.
It took less than 3 seconds for someone to steal his firearm.
Next, I went to YouTube… where 12 different “tactical experts” told me the same recycled advice I’d already tried ages ago.
I started to feel hopeless. But one day, as I was at a firearms expo.
And there I met this guy, Mason.
He’s been a CCW instructor for over 30 years, and he has trained more than 4,000 gun owners to carry concealed and safely.
So I thought maybe he could help me.
When I told him about my printing problem, he told me to show my holster.
He checked it out, and the first thing he said was, “This rig won’t even conceal a paper”.
“What? I spent $150 on this holster, it’s supposed to be one of the best concealable holsters in the market”, I replied.
“But it’s not concealing now, is it?”
When he said that, I had no words to reply.
“Then he showed me his holster.”
And I was shocked.
It was half the size of mine.
It was so thin and so concealable that it looked as if he had ironed the holster into his shirt.
The Breakout 2.0 — half the size of what I was wearing.
“It was flawless. I asked him about the holster.”
He told me that he knows a veteran family in North Carolina who designed this holster. They spend months making this as concealable and possible.
So CIA operatives and undercover officers can stay fully concealed while sprinting through crowds, climbing fences, wrestling suspects, and sitting in cramped cars for hours…
When regular people try to see it, they only see a flat shirt, no matter how hard they squint.
That level of concealment is possible because a lot of the work is done by hand to keep it incredibly thin.
Plus, it works for all body shapes & sizes… because this holster flexes around your body, instead of forcing you to adapt.
They also blend a strange military-grade material into the melted kydex that makes it unbelievably tough despite being ridiculously thin. Even a giant rock falling on it wouldn’t crack it.
After I heard everything he said, I knew exactly what to do next.
I went on to their website and ordered one, right then and there. And it was honestly the best purchase I had made.
I like wearing comfortable t-shirts that are kinda fitted, and this thing conceals well in all of them.
Every time I throw my shirt on, it’s like nothing is there; it just blends into my clothes.
Same body, same fitted shirt — zero printing.
This thing is amazing.
I can finally carry without ever worrying about becoming a target. Or being pepper-sprayed in my eyes and falsely accused by anti-gun Karens.
And you’re reading this. If you don’t want to drag risky attention to you, or worse, bring it home, or even worse, end up in jail… I highly recommend this holster.
